Brown Brothers’ Landscape & Snow provides fertilization services to promote the health and growth of your lawn all season long. We have an 6-Step Turf Application Program to deliver your lawn the proper nutrients to survive and thrive throughout the season. Your lawn doesn’t just need weed control, it needs proper nutrition to outlast and overcome weeds.
Our turf in this area is predominately fescue, and it not only needs water, but it also requires the proper nutrients for continued growth throughout the year.
Quality
Granular & Liquid – We use a mix of granular and liquid applications products depending on the type of nutrients being delivered and season.
Consistency – Turf demands consistency when applying, and we calibrate our machines and schedules to deliver the accurate amount of product at the right time.
Research – We use commercial grade fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to give your turf the necessary ingredients to health and growth. We spend time researching the products that will give us the maximum impact on your turf.
Professional
Account Manager – We want our team to value your turf just as much as you! We keep our routes the same throughout the year so you get to know us, and we can get to know the ins and outs of your turf. That allows us to better catch potential issues with watering or diseases.
Statement of Service – You will always know when we arrive, and leave. We fill out required Statements of Service, and place logo card at end of driveway.
Safety – All of our chemicals are children and pet friendly. We are an environmentally conscious company, and ensure all our chemicals are safe for the lawn and those that enjoy it! We just ask that the lawn is able to dry 30 minutes before use to ensure nutrients are fully absorbed.
The Program
Our 6-Step Program is even more effective when pair with Fall Aeration & Overseeding!
1) Early Spring – Pre-Emergence & Fertilzer – Critical application to prevent crabgrass. Application starts after the last snowfall.
2) Spring – Pre-Emergence, Weed Control & Fertilizer – Essential to kill any broadleaf weeds that made it through the pre-emergence round.
3a) Early Summer – Weed Control, Fertilizer – Provide enough nitrogen to last into July.
3b) Nutsedge – Only applied if growth is seen. Usually thrives in overly wet conditions.
4a) Summer – Weed Control, Fertilizer – Application to feed the turf in summer months, but not burn.
4b) Grub Control – Critical to decrease chances of grub infestation in turf.
5) Early Fall – Starter Fertilizer – Coordination with Aeration & Overseeding.
6) Late Fall – Winterizer Fertilizer – Packs Nitrogen into soil for essential nutrients to release and pop green when coming out of dormancy.
